Hello Boyz and Girls, anyone out there got any killer suspension settings for stock 2012 YZ125 enduro/woods riding ? This seems paradoxically, a very scientific/artistic topic. Standard settings are just too hard for heavily rutted/rocky mountain riding. I have dialed front compression down by 4 clicks, rebound down by 2 clicks. Standard back with 2 and 1/4 out on the high speed compression.

for my rockky rooted woods anyway, FWIW. I open the HS all the way on most mx valved shocks. REB usually a click either way from stk . Comp as needed. Forks I reduce the outer chamber oil to 325cc, really helps the mid stroke, add oil if needed. Reb a click either way from stk, and comp adjusted as need usually.

One way I'll set the fork comp quickly to find a good start point, is wheely or jump off trail size stuff and feel the fork slam down and spike your wrists. Soften comp to feel it get better, you will reach a point as your turning the comp out where it either doesn't get better or it actually starts getting harsher. happyness is usually a turn or 2 back in from that setting.

I also run a little more sag in the back in the woods, and slip the forks up as need to get the tight steering back. The reduced prelaod helps the rear move fast intially eating up the trail junk.
